Sweet potatoes mashed with pineapple, molasses, and brown sugar, topped with marshmallows and broiled to golden perfection—comforting, sweet, and ideal for family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 large cans yams
  • 1 can crushed pineapple
  • 2 Tbsp. molasses
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 bag small marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Drain the yams.
  2. Combine the yams, crushed pineapple, molasses, and brown sugar in a bowl.
  3. Blend thoroughly until the yams and mixture are completely mashed.
  4. Put the mixture into a casserole dish and bake for 1 hour at 350°F or until heated through.
  5. Remove from the oven and spread the marshmallows on top.
  6. Return to the oven and broil for 1 minute until the marshmallows are golden brown.
