Sweet Sour Jerky

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. sweet and sour sauce
  • 1/4 c. vinegar
  • 1/4 c. pineapple juice
  • 1 lb. deer roast, steak or any lean meat, sliced thin

Instructions

  1. Mix marinade ingredients together in a bowl.
  2. Dip meat slices into marinade.
  3. Place dipped meat layers in bowl.
  4. Pour remaining sauce over meat.
  5. Cover tightly.
  6. Let marinate in refrigerator 6 to 8 hours.
  7. Take out and place in dehydrator until dry.
  8. Blot excess oil with paper towel.
