Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped canned green chili peppers
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 1/2 c. chopped tomato
  • 3 Tbsp. low calorie Italian salad dressing
  • 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
  • 8 taco shells
  • 1 c. shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 c. shredded low calorie process cheese product (2 oz.)
  • 1/2 c. taco sauce

Instructions

  1. Cook beef, onion, chili peppers and garlic until beef is browned; drain.
  2. Stir in chili powder and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Combine tomato, salad dressing and seasoned salt.
  3. Spoon beef mixture into taco shells; top with tomato mixture, lettuce and cheese.
  4. Pass taco sauce.
  5. Makes 4 servings.
