Ingredients

  • 2 pkg. French-style rolls (6 inches long)
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 cup dairy sour cream
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 (1 1/4 oz.) pkg. taco seasoning mix
  • shredded lettuce
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese
  • mayonnaise or salad dressing
  • 3 medium tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Cook and stir ground beef in a 10-inch skillet over medium heat until light brown; drain.
  2. Stir in sour cream, water, and taco seasoning mix.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes.
  4. Cut rolls in half and spread with mayonnaise.
  5. Place lettuce on the bottom halves of the rolls.
  6. Layer about 1/3 cup of beef mixture, two slices of Swiss cheese, and tomato slices on each sandwich.
  7. Cover with the top halves of the rolls.
  8. Secure each sandwich with a wooden pick.
