Ingredients

  • 5 lb. eye round roast
  • 2 envelopes Washington rich brown seasoning
  • soy sauce
  • 2 packages McCormick au jus gravy mix
  • 2 large onions
  • paprika
  • Season-All

Instructions

  1. Place the frozen eye round roast fat side down in a roasting pan.
  2. Add enough water to the pan to cover the meat three-quarters of the way up.
  3. Salt the top of the meat.
  4. Bake in a 400°F oven for 1 hour.
  5. Turn the meat over and cut off and discard the fat.
  6. Sprinkle the top of the meat with pepper, Season-All, and paprika.
  7. Bake in the oven at 400°F for another hour.
  8. Cut the onions in half and place them in the pan next to the meat.
  9. Sprinkle the onions with soy sauce.
  10. Reduce the oven temperature to 350°F and bake for 1 hour.
  11. Cover the meat with au jus gravy mix.
  12. Add Washington rich brown seasoning to the water in the pan.
  13. Cover the pan with a lid and bake at 350°F for 1 hour.
