Tips & Substitutions

For a smoother jelly, consider using a blender instead of a food processor for the peppers. If you want to reduce the heat, substitute some jalapeno peppers with more red bell peppers. Also, ensure your jars are properly sterilized to extend shelf life. This jelly can also be used as a glaze for meats or combined with cream cheese for a simple appetizer, similar to the flavors found in Relish, Farm Style.

Serving Suggestions

Texas Jalapeno Pepper Jelly is fantastic as a spread on crackers or toasted bread, especially when paired with cream cheese. It also complements grilled meats and can be used as a glaze for chicken or pork. For a unique twist, try it as a topping for the Easy Grasshopper Pie(Or Dessert) for a spicy-sweet finish.

Storage & Reheating

Store the sealed jars in a cool, dark place for up to a year. Once opened, keep the jelly in the refrigerator and consume it within a month. If you have leftovers, reheat the jelly gently in a saucepan over low heat until it melts for easy spreading.
