Ingredients

  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1 cup Karo syrup
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped nuts
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 small can evaporated milk

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar, Karo syrup, and evaporated milk in a heavy boiler.
  2. Cook over medium heat until it reaches the soft ball stage.
  3. Remove from heat; add butter and vanilla.
  4. Cool for 10 minutes.
  5. Beat with a mixer until it loses its gloss.
  6. Add chopped nuts.
  7. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto wax paper.
