Thai Fried Rice

Thai Fried Rice is a flavorful, quick stir-fry dish featuring rice, meat, green onions, and a savory m.s.g. seasoning, perfect for a satisfying meal any time.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked long grain rice
  • 1 cup cooked meat (chipped beef or ham)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon m.s.g.
  • 1 bunch green onions
  • 2 tablespoons margarine

Instructions

  1. Melt margarine in a pan; add 2 thin slices of ginger root and stir for 2 to 3 minutes.
  2. Remove ginger root from the pan.
  3. Add cooked meat and sliced white part of green onions; cook until meat loses red color, about 1 to 2 minutes.
  4. Add cooked rice and m.s.g.; stir-fry for another 1 to 2 minutes.
  5. Break the egg over the mixture and stir in well.
  6. Cook for about 1 more minute, stirring constantly.
  7. Serve with soy sauce and optionally with sliced tomatoes and cucumbers.
