A hearty and flavorful beef macaroni casserole with chili beans and melted cheese, perfect for comforting family dinners or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 or 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 large (30 oz.) can hot chili beans
  • 1 1/2 cup elbow macaroni
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 large (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 5 or 6 slices cheese
  • 2 cup water

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef and chopped onion together in a skillet.
  2. Add hot chili beans, tomato sauce, and water to the beef mixture.
  3. Simmer the mixture for about 30 minutes.
  4. Add elbow macaroni to the skillet and cook on low until the macaroni is done, stirring a couple of times.
  5. Place slices of cheese over the cooked macaroni and cover until the cheese melts.
  6. Serve hot once the cheese has melted.
