- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Melt butter in a Dutch oven over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
- Add beef cubes and brown on all sides.
- Add salt, pepper, bay leaf, red wine vinegar, and beef broth. Cover tightly and bake for 2 hours.
- Cook pasta following box directions until al dente.
- Remove pan from oven; discard bay leaf.
- Blend flour with softened butter to form a paste.
- Stir the flour-butter mixture into the beef stew.
- Simmer on stove for 2 minutes, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
- Add yogurt and cooked pasta; mix well and serve.
