- Combine chopped pears, peaches, apples, and lemon juice in a 4-quart saucepan.
- Cook, stirring until the fruit is almost tender.
- Stir in sugar, Sure-Jell, butter, and food coloring.
- Bring to a rolling boil, stirring constantly.
- Boil for 10 to 12 minutes.
- Remove from heat and skim off foam.
- Ladle into sterilized jars, leaving 1/2-inch space at the top.
- Seal with paraffin.
