Instructions
- Cream oleo and sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add egg yolks, vanilla, and salt; mix well.
- Gradually add flour and mix until combined.
- Shape the dough into small balls.
- Dip each ball into slightly beaten egg whites.
- Then roll the balls in chopped walnuts.
- Place on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F for 5 minutes.
- Remove from oven and press your thumb into the center of each cookie.
- Bake for an additional 10 to 12 minutes until golden.
- Cool cookies on wire racks and fill with frosting as desired.
