- Cream together margarine and sugar.
- Beat in eggs and vanilla. Sift together cocoa, flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Add flour mixture alternately with water to egg mixture.
- Stir in sauerkraut; turn into 2 greased and floured 8-inch cake pans. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
- When cool, frost with your favorite creamy frosting (vanilla or chocolate).
