Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Grease and flour a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix butter, both sugars and vanilla.
  3. Beat in egg.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix flour, soda and salt.
  5. Mix both mixtures and add nuts. Spread batter into pan and sprinkle chocolate chips over the top. Bake in a 375° oven for 1 minute.
  6. Remove.
  7. Use a knife to create a marble effect on top.
  8. Return to oven for 13 to 16 minutes or until golden brown.
