Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup orange marmalade
  • 2 tablespoons soft butter
  • 2 cups Bisquick baking mix
  • 1/2 cup cold water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. Mix orange marmalade and softened butter; spread evenly in an 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking pan.
  3. Stir Bisquick baking mix and cold water to form a soft dough.
  4. Gently knead the dough 5 times on a floured cloth-covered board.
  5. Roll the dough into an 8-inch square and place it on top of the marmalade-butter mixture in the pan.
  6. Pat the dough evenly into the corners and cut into 36 squares.
  7. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until golden.
  8. Invert the pan onto a serving plate.
  9. Biscuits will break into small bite-sized pieces.
  10. Serve warm. Can be baked ahead and reheated.
