Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. margarine or butter
  • 3 c. pecan pieces
  • 12 oz. chocolate flavored candy coating

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Melt butter in a 15 x 10-inch jelly roll pan.
  2. Spread pecan pieces evenly in the pan.
  3. Bake for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes to toast the pecans.
  4. Place the chocolate flavored candy coating in the top of a double boiler.
  5. Bring water to a boil, then reduce heat to low and cook until coating melts, about 5 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and cool for 2 minutes.
  7. Add toasted pecans to the melted coating and stir until evenly coated.
  8. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto wax paper.
  9. Allow to cool completely before serving.
