Toasted Vienna Chunks

Ingredients

  • 1/2 loaf Vienna or French bread, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 (7 oz.) pkg. flaked coconut
  • 1 (14 oz.) can condensed (not evaporated) milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Dip bread into condensed milk; allow to drain briefly and roll ini coconut.
  3. Place on greased baking sheet; bake 8 minutes or until coconut is toasted.
  4. Immediately remove from baking sheets.
  5. Store loosely covered at room temperature. Makes 50 to 60 chunks.
