Ingredients

  • 1 medium head cabbage, shredded
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
  • 4 slices bacon

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon until crispy, then remove and set aside.
  2. Use the bacon fat to cook the chopped onions until translucent.
  3. Wash and drain the shredded cabbage.
  4. Add the canned tomatoes and cooked onions to the pot and bring to a boil.
  5. Stir in the drained cabbage and seasonings.
  6. Reduce heat and simmer until the cabbage is tender and flavors meld.
