Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon orange peel
  • 1/4 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1/2 cup margarine, melted
  • 2 (3 oz) packages cream cheese
  • 2 (10 oz) cans Hungry Jack biscuits

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Use shortening to grease a 12-cup fluted tube pan (nonstick).
  3. Combine sugar, orange peel, and chopped pecans; set aside.
  4. Separate the biscuits and flatten each into a round.
  5. Spread softened cream cheese on each biscuit.
  6. Sprinkle the sugar mixture over the cream cheese.
  7. Roll up each biscuit from the wide side to form a spiral.
  8. Arrange the rolled biscuits in the prepared pan, standing on their sides.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
