Ingredients

  • 4 oz. unsweetened chocolate
  • 3 oz. cream cheese
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 lb. confectioners sugar
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Line an 8-inch square pan with waxed paper or foil and set aside.
  2. Melt the unsweetened chocolate in a saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. Beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until creamy.
  4. Add the sifted confectioners sugar and beat continually until smooth.
  5. Incorporate the melted chocolate into the cream cheese mixture and beat well.
  6. Stir in chopped pecans with a wooden spoon until evenly distributed.
  7. Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  8. Refrigerate until firm, about 1 hour.
  9. Cut into 1-inch squares and serve.
