Ingredients

  • 2 c. macaroni
  • 3/4 lb. medium sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1 large (9 oz.) can tuna fish
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 4 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 c. milk

Instructions

  1. Melt butter over medium heat in a saucepan.
  2. Add flour to the melted butter, stirring until smooth to form a roux.
  3. Gradually add milk, continuing to stir until a smooth white sauce forms.
  4. Cut the cheese into cubes and gradually add to the sauce, stirring until all cheese is melted.
  5. Drain the tuna fish and stir it into the cheese sauce.
  6. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions until al dente, then drain.
  7. Mix the cooked macaroni into the cheese and tuna sauce.
  8. Serve hot.
