Ingredients

  • 3 cakes or pkg. yeast
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. warm water
  • 3 Tbsp. shortening
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 7 c. flour

Instructions

  1. Beat the yeast, eggs, sugar, and warm water until foamy.
  2. Add the shortening, salt, and flour to the mixture.
  3. Knead just enough to mix well.
  4. Let the dough rise until doubled in bulk.
  5. Divide the dough into buns and shape them.
  6. Let the buns rise again.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 400° to 450° for 15 to 20 minutes.
