Ingredients

  • 1 qt. tomato sauce
  • 1 garlic clove, pressed
  • 1 tsp. dried oregano
  • 2 large eggs
  • 15 oz. Ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • lasagna noodles, uncooked
  • 1 lb. grated Mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine tomato sauce, pressed garlic, and dried oregano in a bowl.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs.
  4. Beat in Ricotta cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, and ground nutmeg.
  5. Pour a generous amount of sauce on the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
  6. Layer uncooked lasagna noodles, sauce, cheese mixture, and grated Mozzarella, repeating to create layers ending with Mozzarella on top.
  7. Cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil.
  8. Bake for 1 hour, then remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
  9. Let sit for 10 minutes before cutting and serving.
