Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. flour
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 1 large can crushed pineapple

Instructions

  1. Mix together thoroughly the butter, sugar, flour, salt, and baking powder.
  2. Add enough milk to make a batter; beat for 1 minute.
  3. Pour the batter into a buttered casserole dish.
  4. Make the topping by mixing the pineapple with the remaining sugar.
  5. Bring the pineapple mixture to a boil.
  6. Pour the pineapple topping over the batter.
  7. Bake in a 400°F oven for 30 minutes.
  8. Serve hot or cold.
