Ingredients

  • 3 lb. venison
  • water
  • 1 red pepper or dash of red pepper
  • 1 cup onions
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 3 Tbsp. red wine
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the venison in water until tender.
  2. Add salt and pepper, then cool.
  3. Cut the venison into small pieces and place in a shallow pan.
  4. Pour the cooked stock over the venison.
  5. Top with chopped onions, flour, red wine, and bacon slices.
  6. Bake in a slow oven for about 2 hours.
