Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • strawberry jam

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
  2. Add egg yolks, vanilla extract, and salt; beat well.
  3. Gradually add sifted all-purpose flour and mix to form a dough.
  4. Shape dough into 2 teaspoon-sized balls and place on baking sheets.
  5. Flatten each ball slightly and make a depression in the center with your thumb.
  6. Fill the centers of each cookie with 1/2 teaspoon of strawberry jam.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 18 minutes or until golden.
