Ingredients

  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1 square butter or 1/4 lb butter
  • 1 cup flour
  • 4 eggs

Instructions

  1. Put water, butter, and salt in a frypan and heat until the butter is melted.
  2. Add flour to the melted butter mixture and cook until it forms a ball.
  3. Remove from heat and transfer to a dish to cool slightly.
  4. Add one egg at a time, beating well after each addition, until all four eggs are incorporated.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the batter onto an ungreased baking sheet.
  6. Bake in a hot oven at 425°F for 20 minutes.
  7. Reduce oven temperature to 350°F and bake for an additional 20 minutes.
  8. Remove from oven and cool before serving.
