- Mix flour, salt, and shortening until crumbly.
- Add 1/4 cup water and mix to form a dough.
- Roll the dough as a pie crust.
- Spread a mixture of 3/4 cup sugar and 1 stick softened margarine over the crust.
- Roll the crust like a jelly roll and cut into 1-inch thick crosswise slices.
- Lay the slices flat in a 9-inch pie pan.
- Pour berry juice mixed with 1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch over the crust.
- Bake at 350°F until golden brown.
