Tips & Substitutions

For a smoother texture, ensure that the butter is fully melted before combining with the other ingredients. If you want a nut-free version, you can substitute the walnuts with sunflower seeds or omit them altogether. Keep a candy thermometer handy to avoid overcooking the toffee. If you prefer a darker chocolate, feel free to use bittersweet chocolate instead of semi-sweet.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I do if my toffee doesn't harden?

How can I make this recipe gluten-free?
