Ingredients

  • 2 2/3 cups flaked coconut
  • 1 1/4 cups coarsely chopped California walnuts
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 egg whites
  • 1 teaspoon grated lemon peel

Instructions

  1. Combine coconut, walnuts, flour, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl.
  2. Mix in egg whites and grated lemon peel until well combined.
  3. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheets.
  4. Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. Dip macaroon bottoms in melted chocolate.
  6. Place on waxed paper to set.
