Warm Bacon Dressing
A rich, savory warm bacon dressing with a hint of sweetness and tang, perfect for drizzling over crisp lettuce or endive for a flavorful appetizer or salad.

- Fry the 6 slices of bacon until crisp.
- Remove the bacon and set aside on paper towels.
- Add 1 cup of water to the bacon grease and bring to a boil.
- In a separate bowl, make a paste with flour, salt, sugar, and 1/4 cup water.
- Beat the large egg well and stir it into the paste mixture.
- Remove the water mixture from heat and slowly stir in the egg mixture.
- Return the mixture to heat and stir until it thickens.
- Remove from heat and stir in 1/4 cup vinegar.
- Add the cooked bacon pieces right before serving over lettuce or endive.
