Ingredients
Instructions
- Soak oatmeal in 2 cups boiling water.
- Soften yeast in 1/4 cup warm water.
- Add wheat germ, molasses, honey, egg and salt to oatmeal and water.
- Mix well.
- Add yeast.
- (Optional:
- Mix in 1 cup sunflower seeds.)
- Add rye flour and wheat flour to the mix. Add enough flour to make a kneadable dough.
- Knead.
- Let rise until double.
- Separate into 2 loaves.
- Let rise again.
- Bake at 450° for 15 minutes.
- Reduce oven to 350° for about 30 minutes.
