- Slice the pork tenderloin into 1-inch pieces and flatten slightly with the heel of your hand.
- Heat 1 teaspoon of Crisco shortening or oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the pork pieces and brown quickly on both sides, about 4 to 5 minutes.
- Remove the meat from the skillet and keep warm.
- Add the remaining 2 teaspoons of Crisco shortening or oil to the skillet.
- Add the sliced bananas and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Stir in the brown sugar and pour in the brandy or rum.
- Cook and stir until the sauce becomes thick and bubbly.
- Return the browned pork to the skillet and heat through before serving.
