Wheat Germ Corn Bread

Instructions
- About 2 hours before serving or early in the day:
- Preheat oven to 375°.
- Grease well a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, with a fork, beat buttermilk, oil and eggs.
- In another bowl, combine dry ingredients.
- Stir egg mixture into flour mixture, just until flour is moistened.
- (Batter will be lumpy, not smooth.)
- Quickly pour into loaf pan, spreading evenly.
- Bake 1 hour and 10 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Cool bread in pan on wire rack 10 minutes.
- Remove from pan.
- Serve warm or cool bread completely on wire rack to serve later.
- Makes 1 loaf.
