Ingredients

  • 5 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 c. shortening
  • coconut (optional)

Instructions

  1. Put flour and milk in a saucepan and cook until thickened.
  2. Set aside and let cool.
  3. Cream together white sugar and shortening; add vanilla and beat well again.
  4. Add the flour and milk mixture to the creamed mixture.
  5. Beat until cool.
  6. Add coconut, if desired.
