Wild Blackberry Cobbler
A luscious blackberry cobbler with a tender batter and sweet, juicy blackberries, perfect for summer gatherings or cozy desserts with a dollop of cream.

- Heat blackberries with 1/2 cup sugar and butter in a large saucepan just until sugar dissolves and butter melts.
- Mix remaining sugar with sifted self-rising flour.
- Stir in the milk and beaten eggs and combine the rest of the ingredients, mixing well.
- Pour this batter into a buttered 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
- Spoon the blackberry mixture on top.
- Bake at 350°F for 40 to 45 minutes.
- Cool before serving. Serve with a trickle of heavy cream on top.
