Crispy, sweet, and cinnamon-scented wonton cookies are perfect for snack time or dessert, offering crunchy bites with a delightful powdered sugar and cinnamon coating.

Ingredients

  • wonton wrappers
  • peanut oil
  • powdered sugar
  • ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Work with 3 wonton wrappers at a time, stacking them one on top of the other.
  2. Cut the stacked wrappers in half to form two rectangles.
  3. Make a 1-inch slit lengthwise in the center of each half.
  4. Pull one end of each piece up and through the slit to form a loose bow.
  5. Pour peanut oil into a deep saucepan or fryer to a depth of 4 inches and heat until hot.
  6. Carefully place the bows into the hot oil, avoiding overcrowding, and deep fry until golden, turning once for even cooking.
  7. Remove the fried bows and drain on paper towels.
  8. Sprinkle with cinnamon and powdered sugar before serving.
