Ingredients

  • 1/4 lb. butter or margarine (1 stick)
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
  2. Make a batter by combining all dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Pour the batter over the melted butter in the pan.
  4. Do not stir!
  5. Pour fruit with juice evenly over the batter in the pan.
  6. Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for approximately 1 hour until golden brown.
