Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups scalded milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 beaten eggs
  • 1 package yeast
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water and let sit until frothy.
  2. Combine scalded milk, salt, beaten eggs, sugar, and oil in a mixing bowl.
  3. Add the dissolved yeast to the mixture and stir until smooth.
  4. Gradually mix in flour until batter is well combined.
  5. Cover the batter and let stand about 1 hour at room temperature.
  6. Heat a griddle or frying pan over medium heat.
  7. Pour batter onto the hot surface and cook until golden brown on both sides.
  8. Serve warm with toppings of your choice.
