Ingredients

  • 10 eggs
  • 10 Tbsp. sugar
  • 10 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 lemon peel, grated
  • 1 1/4 lb. salt-free butter
  • 1 small box vanilla pudding

Instructions

  1. Separate the eggs into yolks and whites.
  2. Add all the sugar and grated lemon peel to the egg yolks.
  3. Beat the yolk mixture until nice and fluffy, about 15 minutes.
  4. Fold in the flour gently into the yolk mixture.
  5. Whip the egg whites until fluffy.
  6. Add the whipped egg whites to the yolk and flour mixture, mixing thoroughly.
  7. Grease 9-inch pans and line the bottoms with wax paper.
  8. Divide the batter into four separate layers and bake each layer.
  9. Allow the layers to cool before frosting.
