Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups corn flakes
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 pound ground beef

Instructions

  1. Measure corn flakes and crush to make 3/4 cup, then place in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Add egg, 1/4 cup of barbecue sauce, salt, and pepper to the corn flakes and mix thoroughly.
  3. Add ground beef to the mixture.
  4. Mix only until combined.
  5. Shape into 6 oval patties about 3/4-inch thick.
  6. Place patties on a lightly greased or foil-lined shallow baking pan.
  7. Brush the patties with the remaining barbecue sauce.
  8. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for about 20 minutes for medium doneness.
  9. Adjust baking time shorter or longer according to preference.
  10. Do not turn patties while baking.
