Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 lb. zucchini, unpeeled and cut in strips
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon instant chicken bouillon
  • 1/2 teaspoon dill weed
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons flour or cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine zucchini, onion, water, salt, bouillon, and dill weed. Bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 5 minutes until tender.
  3. Do not drain.
  4. Add butter, sugar, and lemon juice. Remove from heat.
  5. Blend flour into sour cream.
  6. Stir about half of the hot liquid into sour cream.
  7. Return the mixture to the pan.
  8. Cook until bubbly and thick.
