Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/2 cup plus sifted flour
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients and beat well.
  2. Spread the batter in a greased 8-inch square pan.
  3. Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes.
  4. Allow to cool before frosting.
