Ingredients

  • 1 head lettuce, chopped
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 1/2 to 1 cup diced green peppers
  • 1 cup onion rings
  • 10 oz. package frozen peas, uncooked
  • 1 pint mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 6 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • bacon bits

Instructions

  1. Layer the ingredients in a large oblong container in the order listed: chopped lettuce, chopped celery, diced green peppers, onion rings, frozen peas, mayonnaise mixture, shredded Cheddar cheese, and bacon bits.
  2. Refrigerate the salad for 8 to 10 hours, covered, before serving.
