- Cream powdered sugar, granulated sugar, soft butter or margarine, vegetable oil, eggs, vanilla, salt, baking soda, and cream of tartar until well combined.
- Gradually add flour one cup at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Freeze the dough and keep it frozen between batches.
- Roll the dough into small balls.
- Place the dough balls on a cookie sheet.
- Press each cookie with the bottom of a glass dipped in granulated sugar.
- Bake at 375°F for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.
