3 Step Lasagne
Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef ⓘ
- 6 oz. lean pork ⓘ
- 3/4 c. chopped onion ⓘ
- 1 clove garlic minced ⓘ
- 1 (1 pound) can tomatoes ⓘ
- 1 (15 oz.) can tomatoes sauce ⓘ
- 2 Tbsp. parsley ⓘ
- 2 Tbsp. sugar ⓘ
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. basil leaves
- 3 c. (1-24 oz. carton or 2-12 oz.) creamed cottage cheese ⓘ
- 1/2 c. grated parmesan cheese ⓘ
- 2 Tbsp. parsley flakes ⓘ
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt ⓘ
- 1 tsp. oregano leaves ⓘ
- 1 (8 oz.) package lasagne noodles (cooked & drained) ⓘ
Instructions
- Step 1:
- Cook beef, pork, onion and garlic in large sauce pan. Drain off all fat.
- Add tomatoes, and break them up with a fork. Stir in tomato sauce, 2 Tbsp. parsley flakes, sugar, 1 tsp. salt and basil.
- Heat to boil, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce heat; simmer uncovered for 1 hour or until mixture is the consistency of spaghetti sauce.
- Reserve at least 1/2 cup of meat sauce mixture for finally topping.
