Ingredients

  • 2 sticks butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 cups plain flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon coconut extract
  • 1 teaspoon rum extract
  • 1 teaspoon butter extract
  • 1 teaspoon lemon extract

Instructions

  1. Cream the butter, shortening, and sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add the eggs and beat well.
  3. Combine flour and baking powder and add to creamed mixture with milk.
  4. Stir in the flavorings.
  5. Bake in a 10-inch tube pan at 325°F for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  6. Cool in pan for 10 minutes before turning out onto a rack.
