Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground meat
  • 1 Tbsp. oil
  • 3/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 1/2 bay leaf
  • 1/8 tsp. oregano
  • 1/8 tsp. thyme
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 can tomatoes
  • 1 can mushroom soup
  • 1 c. Minute rice
  • 2 or 3 slices American cheese

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground meat in oil.
  2. Add chopped onion and cook until softened.
  3. Stir in salt, pepper, bay leaf, oregano, thyme, and garlic powder.
  4. Add canned tomatoes and mushroom soup; mix well.
  5. Stir in uncooked Minute rice.
  6. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
