Ingredients

  • 22 oz. can apple pie filling
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup melted margarine

Instructions

  1. Empty the apple pie filling into an 8 x 8-inch square pan.
  2. Sprinkle cinnamon to taste over the filling.
  3. Beat the egg slightly and add vanilla.
  4. In another bowl, mix sugar, flour, baking powder, and cinnamon.
  5. Add the egg mixture to the dry ingredients and mix until crumbly.
  6. Distribute the crumbly mixture evenly over the pie filling.
  7. Pour melted margarine over the top.
  8. Bake in a moderate oven at 375°F for 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. Serve warm, preferably with ice cream.
