Ingredients

  • 2 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1 c. butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/3 c. sour cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 c. plain malted milk powder
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • Malted Milk Frosting (follows)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Mix brown sugar, butter or margarine, sour cream, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
  3. Stir in all-purpose flour, malted milk powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt until the dough is smooth.
  4. Shape the dough into small rounds and place them on a baking sheet.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Cool on wire racks before applying Malted Milk Frosting.
